As a Nurse, and Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, I support South Jersey families with both office and in-home lactation consultations for reaching personalized feeding goals. I am willing to travel within a 20-mile radius of Blackwood/Glendora, 08029 (travel fee applies). Supporting all breastfeeding plans, even exclusive pumping, combo with bottles, and supplementing with formula. Consultations are available from prenatal education all the way to weaning, and everything in between! I am partnered with “The Lactation Network” to provide up to six FREE insurance covered lactation consults. Telehealth and Private Prenatal Consults are also available and are free if your insurance is accepted through TLN. Most insurance PPO’s accepted (AETNA, Anthem, Horizon BCBS, Humana, multiplan logo, PNOA, United Healthcare, and more!). This is a quick, easy process (takes 2 minutes) with an approval or denial sent to your email from TLN within 24 hours.

About Me

Welcome! My name is Shari, IBCLC, mom of 4, and owner of Milk & Cookies Lactation Consulting. I began my nursing career as an RN on the postpartum (Mom/Baby) unit in 2004, where I found a passion for helping families care for, feed, and bond with their precious newborns. My passion took me from mom/baby, to NICU for almost 10 years, and all the way to being my local hospital’s Board-Certified Lactation Consultant in 2015. And I’ve happily been helping families provide breast milk to their babies ever since. No matter what area of the hospital I’ve worked in, one thing was always clear, most families’ concerns surrounded around how best to feed their babies. Many would ask me, “Can we take you home”? Well, now you can! After discovering the lack of lactation support available for families after they left the hospital, I knew I had to do something. With the help of my own supportive family, Milk & Cookies Lactation Consulting was formed to serve my local area in South Jersey.

Shari at Milk & Cookies Lactation Consulting provides personalized office and in-home lactation consulting services to support mothers and families on their breastfeeding journey. Save the travel fee, come see me in my spacious home office and try a free, fresh baked lactation cookie.

Available In-office or In-home. Up to 60 minutes. Recommended at 36 weeks.

This visit will entail a full health history, review of goals, basics of positioning/latch or pumping, and what to expect in the first few days.

New Patient: Initial Consult

Available In-office or In-home. Up to 75 minutes.

For those who have had an initial consult, to continue to work towards your goals with further guidance or assistance, or if you have a new concern.

Follow-Up Consult

Prenatal Breastfeeding Consultation

Available In-office or In-home. Up to 90 minutes. Usually done in the first few weeks, but can be later.

Includes a full health history, review of current problem/need, feeding assessment with assistance, weighed feed to calculate milk transfer, education, personalized plan, and two weeks follow-up via messaging.

Available In-office or In-home. Up to 60 minutes. Recommended at 2-4 weeks old.

Review of history and work environment, workplace laws, flange fitting, pumping help & a schedule to maintain milk production, milk storage guidelines, personalized plan, and follow up via messaging.
